I have a student who keeps track of the time for me. It frees me up from having to watch the clock and it helps with their time telling skills! Hope that helps!
A Tall Drink of WaterRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01565409628840084466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8841962507528445325.post-58361945468692880892013-09-28T19:39:52.861-07:002013-09-28T19:39:52.861-07:00I love the See You at the Pole pictures! I use my iPhone or http://timer.onlineclock.net to keep us on track for some things. I also make use of a "catch up" period at the end of the week for those slow pokes. Yesterday one of my students said their Grade 3 teacher used to draw a ketchup bottle for 'catch up'. I am so...Hi Kris, I too have been too busy to post! I am so glad you love your new school and to have your son there too is extra icing on the cake. We all have time issues but ever since I got the timer clock ( a big one! ) and put it in the front of the room where we can all see the red count down section, it has been easy. For example, I'll tell the kids they have 15 min. to accomplish a task. Set the timer. When it beeps, that's it. Transition on. Yes, some are not finished but that's why I set up a 30 min. period once a week called "Catch Up". They all have something they need to finish and this takes pressure off forever reminding someone to finish. Hope this helps.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03323946349293732976noreply@blogger.com
